Similar in looks, and similar in features, Beogram 3500 looked and performed as Beogram 8500. Fitted with RIAA pre-amplifier, the deck came both an MMC4 cartridge and Datalink to connect it to similarly-featured receivers.
By the time Beogram 3500 was produced, wood veneers were beginning to fall out of favor with natural products been pushed to one side in preference of metallic or painted finishes. The particular finish of this model was a dark plasticky grey… neutral enough to mean that it was able to complement most any other B&O product but unadventurous and unassuming enough not to allow it to make a public statement about itself.
The deck came with an MMC4 pickup and was fitted with a tangential drive.
