MCL2

BeoLink MCL

Production: 1986 - 1992

MCL2 was the Master Control Link system used with Beosystem 5500, 6500 and 7000 as well as Beosystem 4500 and Beocenter 9500 for linking components together for around the house music via cable.

Following on from the Master Control Link 82 concept of around-the-house music, MCL2 was introduced in 1986 using the same 8mm passive cable but which could incorporate video signals as well.

MCL2 permitted a Beolink 1000 handset (and subsequent handsets such as the Beo4) to be used for controlling Bang & Olufsen products ‘virtually’ around the house.
