Matching perfectly Beomaster 6000 - even to its black keys - Beocord 6000 was technically identical to Beocord 8000 but only came on to the market after this particular model was withdrawn in favor of Beocord 8002. Datalink and Dolby B NR was standard on this model.
All three types of cassette could be played: Ferric Oxide, Chrom Dioxid and Metal types of cassettes tapes. It is interesting to note that at this time, notches were introduced by manufacturers in the bodies of cassette tapes to differentiate between the different types of tapes available:
