The Beovox 4000 was a large loudspeaker which was able to produce 40W RMS (60W music power) through its 4-way driver sysyem.
Comprising a 25cm woofer, an 18cm elliptical mid-range unit and two 4cm cone tweeters it could work admirably with the Beolab 5000 system or the Beomaster 3000, two high-end amplifiers available from Bang & Olufsen at that time.
The loudspeaker was of excellent quality and the sound easily met the DIN 45500 standard for hi-fi reproduction. It was available in rosewood and teak to complemement its partnered hi-fi components.
