BeoSound 6

BeoSound

Production: 2007 - present

With modern portable MP3 players sporting internal memories of up to 160GB or at least accepting memory cards of up to 32GB, BeoSound 6’s internal capacity of 4GB sounded trivially small. Those who used portable MP3 players knew just how easy it was to fill any memory card of whatever size, and with video, it was all-too easy to run out of space on even a massive 160GB. So with the internal memory of Bang & Olufsen’s BeoSound 6’s being just 4GB - with no way of increasing its capacity - it was, in practice, far too small, even with the possibility of storing over 1000 tracks in WMA form.

However, with its own colour display screen, this MP3 player at least offered a little more than the BeoSound 2 with no screen at all.

In typical Bang & Olufsen style and manufactured from quality materials such as stainless steel, scratch-resistant glass and silicone rubber for its keypad, if ultimate style was your thing then a specially designed Louis Vuitton case could be ordered as an optional extra.

BeoSound 6 was designed for the true BeoPhile… at the price which it commanded and the few functions which it provided, other better MP3 players - from other manufacturers - should have be top of the list.

A8 Earphones were the recommended earphones with this MP3 player.
