Beovision MX5500

BeoVision

Production: 1990 - 1992

Beovision MX5000 was a larger version of the Beovision MX3500 which was fitted with a 28″ picture tube.  Other than the size of the cabinet and screen there were very few differences between the two models.

Both sets were fitted with Teletextand had the A2 / NICAM stereo decoder on-board.  Power Link connectors were available for onnection to Beolab active speakers and there was Datalink compatibility.

The Beocord VX5000 video recorder was manufactured to complement the receiver and a motorised stand/based could be used as well as a Beosat LM satellite decoder. There was also a North American variant: the Beovision MX5500 (US) NTSC (see below for details).

The television was subsequently replaced by the Beovision MX5500.
