Built around the Beogram 1000 record deck and equipped with a 2 x 8W stereo amplifier, Beogram 1500 was a very solid (and heavy) combined stereo record deck. Because of its size and overall good looks, the deck was a popular and fashionable piece of equipment to own. It was advertised heavily and this promotion paid dividends in that it became a very popular and much-respected piece of Bang & Olufsen kit.
It was usually delivered with the SP14A combined cartridge on its beautifully sleek pickup arm and there were sockets ready for connecting to a reel-to-reel tape recorder (such as Beocord 1500) as well as a radio tuner when external speakers (such as Beovox 800 or 1000) could be used.
