BeoVision 3400K

BeoVision

Production: 1971 - 12/1974

Replacing Beovision 3000 and looking similar to the Beovision 3200, this new set had a 26″ 110-degree screen and was sold very much as a piece of furniture with its wooden case complete with sliding tambour doors in order to disguise the set as a modern piece of furniture. The slimmer tube allowed for less bulk in the set’s wooden casing. Times were changing yet again though and sets produced by Bang & Olufsen from this point on would be totally transistorized, losing all elements of their valve electronics’ past.

Producing 3 watts of high-quality sound, two loudspeakers were integrated within the wooden veneered cabinet.

The set was replaced by Beovision 6000.
