BeoGram Record Decks

Production: 1987 - 06/1990

Documents: Service Manual, Schematic, Owners Manual

Restyling existing components to blend into other, newer-named systems, was an art that Bang & Olufsen did particularly well, and with Beogram 3000, this trick was undertaken with enthusiasm (but unfortunately not much flair).  With no technical differences between this and its Beogram 3000 predecessor, this replacement record deck was identical in every way apart from a change of color and a new name badge. By giving the deck a change of clothes, it meant that Beogram 3000 - now Beogram 3300 - would fit in well with the rest of the Beosystem 3300 family members.

Not a particularly good change of clothes, however, as this system is the least popular of all the more recent complete stereo systems; its looks seem to have dated rather quickly as compared to many other products in the Bang & Olufsen product range.

Still, a tangential record deck is still an unrelated record deck, and with Datalink and its MMC4 cartridge, it was still a relatively sensible choice to purchase.
