BeoCord 7000

BeoCord Compact cassette

Production: 1992 - 08/1996

Documents: Owners Manual

All good things must come to an end and for Beocord 7000 - and the rest of the components from Beosystem 7000 - the end came all too soon, it seemed.  An immensely popular range of hi-fi components, the stacking Biosystems of the 1980s (and right through to the mid-1990s) indeed stood the test of time with the later designs seemingly just as popular now as ever they were before!

Beocord 7000 was, therefore, the last of its type, and indeed, nearly the very previous cassette deck to be offered for sale. It was only through the Beocenter 2300/Ouverture that the medium survived, but of course, by then CDs, DVDs, and new optical recording technologies were taking over big time. And MP3s just around the corner, waiting to rule the roost!

The main features of Beocord 7000 (by the time it was withdrawn it could hardly be called state-of-the-art) were: an excellent search facility, HX-Pro, Automatic Dolby B/C NR recognition, Auto record level, Auto tape switch, Auto record level… pretty much all that a cassette enthusiast could want.  And all of this was under the expert command of Beolink 7000, Beosystem 7000’s very own particular remote control terminal.
