The Beocom 750 was the first of a line of memorable-looking telephones. It was followed by the Beocom 1000 and Beocom 2000; all three used a similar design but whereas the 2000 version incorporated an LCD display which helped for storing telephone numbers, the 750 and 1000 did not.
However, the same high quality sound was obtained from all three models with much the same functionality being offered throughout the range.
Bang & Olufsen Telecom began trading the same year that the Beocom 750 entered the product range and a year later the first models were exported overseas.
