BeoCenter 2002

BeoCenter

Production: 1981 - 02/1983

With an FM/LW and MW radio, Beocenter 2002 was a slightly updated version of its predecessor, Beocenter 2000. An MMC 20S cartridge was fitted to the semi-automatic record deck with an amplifier delivering 2 x 25W, sufficient for a small room.

New to this machine was the inclusion of the metal tape facility in its cassette deck. This allowed for better quality recordings although it’s doubtful whether a machine of this calibre would have been able to maximise the qualities inherent within this new recording medium.

There were connections for a microphone and a pair of headphones. System Cabinet SC20 could be bought as an optional accessory to house the stereo system.
