The interesting point to note about Beogram 1100 was the fact that it was rewarded with the responsibility of being the first turntable in the Bang & Olufsen range to embrace the new MMC integrated cartridge range. It was sold with the MMC 3000 cartridge as standard.
Jacob Jensen designed the record deck complete with hinged transparent lid. With its choice of three colors, the record deck looked particular swish with its square rocker switch in soft-brushed aluminum complemented with vast areas of similarly-prepared metal.
Recommended for use with the Beomaster 1100, it could also fit in nicely with Beocenter 1500, 1600 and 1800. In fact, because most of Bang & Olufsen products are color (or at least wooden veneered) coordinated, the deck would not look out of place used with any other later receivers like the Beogram 1900 for example.
The unit was a solid affair and performed well, easy to use and very reliable.
