Replacing the BeoVision Avant 32, the BeoVision Avant 32 RF was an updated version of its former self complete with a ‘Real flat’ screen which allowed for a better viewing angle. It also gave the model a more modern look as well as a new lease of life.
The set had an integrated DVD player in place of a VHS video recorder and delivered a good 2 x 39W of sound through its integrated active speakers.
With customers moving away from video recorders as a source of viewing material, the VCR version was subsequently dropped soon after this model was introduced although a VCR - as well as a satellite decoder - could still be connected for recording TV programmes. The Beocord V8000 was the recommended VHS video recorder.
