BeoMaster 2200

BeoMaster Tuner/Amplifier

Production: 1977 - 12/1980

Documents: Schematic, Schematic, Service Manual

Replacing Beomaster 2000, the Beomaster 2200 receiver was another high-quality product delivering 2 x 40W of undistorted sound. Solidly built, Beomaster 2200’s controls were sub-divided into three groups: on/off and volume, its primary controls, were above deck with the presetting of the five FM radio programmes, AFC and bass/treble controls hidden discretely under an aluminum lid.  Further, connections for record deck, cassette recorder, headphones and two pairs of stereo speakers were positioned at the rear of the unit.

Volume was by way of a slider control positioned at the top of Beomaster 2200 with other controls - designed as discrete push-buttons - blending in perfectly allowing for a smooth, easy to dust, finish.

Beomaster 2200 formed the foundation for a range of other Bang & Olufsen products, notably the music centers. Beocenter 3300 - with its in-built record deck - is based upon the Beomaster 2200 and so is Beocenter 4000 (1978 model) which came with its cassette deck.

When connected to other compatible B&O products, Beomaster 2200 could be made up as part of the Beosystem 2200.
