BeoMaster 2000 (1983)

BeoMaster Tuner/Amplifier

Production: 1983 - 03/1987

Documents: Owners Manual, Schematic, Service Manual

Looking similar to the Beomaster 2300, the receiver which it replaced, the Beomaster 2000 was fitted with more up-to-date ‘flush’ sense-touch controls.  Altogether the receiver looked more modern in its grey livery and was easy to match to any other of the products available at the time.

The amplifier remained at 30W per channel and there will still five pre-set radio buttons with AFC to give good ease of use.  However, the inclusion of Datalink connections was all-new and allowed the receiver to be connected to other Datalink-connected products. This allowed for yet even more straightforward method, as, as one source was started, another was instantly turned off.  You could thus change from tape to phono to radio without damaging any of the electrical components. In this respect any of Beosystem 5000, 6000 or 8000 range products could be all used, each complying with user instructions through the complex Datalink system. Dependant on the ‘Type’ number, LW and MW were fitted as standard although for most markets Beomaster 2000 was FM-only.

Beocord 2000 and Beogram 2000 could be used with Beomaster 2000 to form Beosystem 2000, with each item complementing the other.
