Beovision 5100

BeoVision

Production: 1981 - 12/1983

Beovision 5100: Fitted with a 20″ tube and delivering 6 watts of sound, this remote-controlled colour TV had the option of Teletext which could be fitted as a separate module either at time of order or later by a B&O engineer.

A relatively basic television, the set was ideal for those on a budget but still wanted to obtain Bang & Olufsen’s excellence in standards of manufacture. There were eight TV stations which could be stored in its tuner, which was probably more than enough for most customers’ needs.

Available in standard rosewood and teak veneers, Beovision 5100 could also be ordered in a plainer grey finish when it would be better accommodated in a more modern setting. The Video Terminal was the remote control offered for use with this TV.

There were additional connections for a tape recorder and an extension loudspeaker.

At the end of its life Beovision 5100 was replaced by Beovision 5102.
