The final ‘S’ type model in Bang & Olufsen’s pressure chamber series of loudspeakers the Beovox S80 was constructed of very solid chipboard and plywood and was available in the series’ standard range of four finishes.
An overload circuitry was included, with the reset button fitted to the front of the cabinet between the speaker’s two easily replaceable acoustically transparent grilles.
Within the heavy cabinet was positioned a 210mm woofer, 75mm dome phase-link/mid-range unit and a 25mm tweeter.
A wall-mounting kit was available as well as an optional floor stand. Equally the speaker could be positioned within a wall- or shelving unit.
The speaker was replaced by Beovox S80.2.
