BeoGram 4004

BeoGram Record Decks

Production: 1978 - 1980

Documents: Service Manual, Schematic, Owners Manual

Designed primarily for use with the Beomaster 2400.2 the tangential Beogram 4004 was fitted with a 7-pin DIN plug so that when connected to the Beomaster receiver, it allowed the user to start and to stop the turntable remotely. This was practical as the record deck was fully automatic therefore by pressing PLAY on the remote control the user had full confidence that the machine would do the rest… recognizing that a disc had actually been placed on the platter and calculating just what size it was and therefore precisely what speed to play it at.  No worries if there was no disc actually on the platter as the complex electronics could calculate this fact too!  Beogram 4004 was one of the earlier Datalink machines and paved the way for other records such as the Beogram 8000.
