BeoMaster Tuner/Amplifier

With a slightly quirky styling to the Beosystem 3300 components, Beomaster 3300 and its other family members were never too popular with the general public who ensured that it went down in the annals of Bang & Olufsen history as one which ‘didn’t look quite right.’ Although it sounded very right - it was based upon the Beomaster 3000 which it replaced - it always stood out a little from the others and so, therefore, has gained the (probably unfounded) reputation of being a bit of a Black Sheep in the BeoFamily.
The amplifier was just as good as anything else that B&O had produced with 2 x 30 watts power being able to fill an average-sized room. And the technical abilities of all the other components matched anything else that Bang & Olufsen had before produced. Indeed, the CD player that was integral to the Beosystem 3300 was one of the best that B&O had manufactured up to that time. Beomaster 3300 could also be controlled via the Beolink 1000 as its codes had been changed to function both with the Beolink 1000 terminal as well as its own Terminal 3300 - a cut-down version of the original AV Terminal but in a different (black plastic) material.
Beomaster 3300 was fitted with an FM, LW, MW radio where five radio stations could be preset, and Datalink was standard throughout the whole of the system so that components could ‘talk to each other.’
Because of its slight quirkiness, no one missed it when it was withdrawn from sale and replaced by Beomaster 3500 and 4500. Beomaster 3300 dared to be different, but unfortunately, it also became the one that people remember, but for the wrong reasons!
