Beomaster 1400 K and M models were some of the last hi-fi products to be designed by Henning Moldenhawer. They were two variants on a similar theme: Beomaster 1400K (type 2101) replaced the earlier Beomaster 900K, and Beomaster 1400M was the successor to the Beomaster 900M.
In the Beomaster 1400K, there were five push-buttons to preset favorite radio stations. One was fixed to the FM band; each of the other four could be individually tuned and locked to any other preferred station.
There were connections between two pairs of external speakers, switchable from the front panel as well as a link for a tape recorder. The input for the record deck incorporated a pre-amplifier which could be used with two record decks - a standard facility in the late 1960s.
Beomaster 1400K delivered a moderate 2 x 15W through the unit’s built-in pressure chamber speakers and had fitted an FM Stereo tuner with tuning meter, which also covered the MW, LW and 2 x SW wavebands. Both receivers fully met the DIN 45500 standard for hi-fidelity sound.
Recommended partners in a possible Beosystem 1400 would be Beogram 1000 record deck together with Beovox 2400 loudspeakers.
Dimensions (H x W x D): 112mm x 744mm x 252mm
Beomaster 1400M (type 2105) was identical to the Beomaster 1400K but had no built-in stereo speakers.
Dimensions (H x W x D): 112mm x 414mm x 252mm
