BeoCord 1600

BeoCord Compact cassette

Production: 1981 - 02/1983

Beocord 1600 complemented Beomaster 1600 and Beogram 1600 exactly when the whole system was known as Beosystem 1600.  Like all of these machines, the emphasis was that of ease of use and reliability, so these machines proved to be both stylish and accessible.

There was a choice of the three types of the available cassette tape (Fe, Chrome or Metal) and the recording head was one of  Sendust making it extremely durable, offering excellent sound. Dolby B NR was fitted as standard, and a useful peak programme meter all aided the popularity of the machine.

Beocord 1600 was identical to Beocord 1700 with the exception that it was finished in a matte black color.
