BeoVox 4802 Passive Loudspeakers

BeoVox Loudspeaker

Production: 1975 - present

Beovox 4802 (Type 6256) was a 4-way passive pressure-chamber loudspeaker available in a choice of two natural wood veneers as well as a modern white.

The speaker was designed by Jacob Jensen as were most of Bang & Olufsen’s hi-fi products at this time and could deliver a quite acceptable 60W RMS (100W music power) into 4 ohms.

It comprised 2 x 19cm woofers, a 12,5cm woofer and a 5cm tweeter.

Its front covers were magnetically attached which meant that access could easily be made into the speaker cabinet or as a way of exchanging damaged frets.
